It's not Catholic policy.

A priest must be familiar with and comfortable with his sexuality - whatever that is - before he can become a priest. The clergy is actually a traditionally good place for homosexual catholics - for many familys, a single man or woman would be a black sheep, while a priest/ Brother/ Nun in the family would be a place of pride.

Does this mean that all clergy are homosexual? No.

Furthermore, the Catholic teaching on homosexuality is roughly: a homosexual orientation is not bad, and, in fact, it is good to be in touch with your sexuality, whatever it may be. Acting upon a homosexual orientation, however, is innapropriate because it is not procrative (it can't produce children).
