just a bit down from here. ;) I agree that the punishment for child molesters is NEVER what it should be, (In the USA at least) but then I have some fairly strong ideas on some other crimes as well. Until we change the laws though, we have to abide by them, and respect the courts' decisions, tough as that may sometimes be. Of course, there are always exceptions, too, and it would be nice if they worked out properly, but it's an imperfect world we live in, as DaNutBall implied above. :)
