Non-sequentual writing and spelling isn't a trademark of an american. Such pickiness on proper uses of words isn't something that is heavily necessary in the US, save an English writing course.

For the record, "Grammar Nazis" imho are just uptight on grammar. Sheesh, I'm not in English 102. Please read my diary on this subject.
