I had a similar problem with my computer after moving it 30 miles. Somehow fried the motherboard. Oh well, 3 weeks and a new motherboard later, it was working again (It took me a LONG time just to find a real living person to talk to at either TigerDirect or Shuttle who could tell me what in the world to do about warranty). But with a new motherboard, I'm wondering why it'd be bad - unless it was the running it without mounting it in the computer. That could have done it. Oh well. I wish you luck. (debugging problems when the computer gives you no information to use in debugging is a royal pain, I know)
