Being a Geek, I Probably Should Know This, But. . by GeekPrincess 2002-06-16 12:05:17
Is there anything to be gained from leaving a computer on 24/7, other than not having to wait while it restarts?

I turn mine off when I'm not using it, but hubby likes to leave his on, and it's bugging me because it wastes electricity, and it seems like there'd be greater risk from hackers/lightning/wearing out fans and subsequent overheating, etc...

What is your opinion?
