The appropriate phrase is "should not have"
There is no 'of' in the phrase.
So, if you want to make it look like it sounded, then 'shouldnuv' is fine (in that context,) but the phrase was typed as if 'of' was in fact the word appended to 'shouldn't'. In this case, it should have been written as 'shouldn't have'

In other words, it wasn't written in the style you suggest.
