Starting and ending towns? That's a strange way to go camping. I'd think having a decent idea of geography would be pretty important if you got separated from the group. Three feet of snow..sounds like maybe up by Detroit Lake, or possibly up on Mt Hood. You'll have to excuse me, I love this area, so I get a little excited about others who have been here, and know what I mean about how neat it is. Even with snow all round, the Willamette Forests are pretty awesome. :)
