Requiem <sigh> This is probably the most emotionally wrenching story I've ever read. Of course, for full impact, it should only be read after reading The Man Who Sold The Moon. (I actually started re-reading these two stories again yesterday)
I really empathised with D.D. Harriman & his frustration & sense of wonder.

DAMMIT! We should have civilian/scientific colonies on the moon by now! (not just the secret miliary ones that are there) It's over 40 years since Armstrong !!!!
<RANT MODE OFF>

I experienced a similar feeling of sadness & loss after watching the shuttle disaster - & again & again every time I see that clip. & a slight twinge at the end of Space Cowboys.
