Question of the Day! by kickstart2006-11-19 12:23:33
  hmmm by Arienadean 2002-06-15 10:17:57
I've been in a castle in BC. The Baron brought it over brick by brick from europe. Basically what happened as as a little girl I had this habbit of wondering off and sometimes into peoples homes(then performing Shirley Temple impersonations). Anyways the Baron was a few cabins down from the one we were in. I'd been looking at plants and animals and ended up at their place. I saw the castle pic on the wall and asked if it was a really had one. They said yes. Basically I said prove it then. I guess my impersonations charmed them, or something because when my parents found me later they invited us over. I only saw it once and the memory of the place is very dim but I remember I thought "wow" as it even had real coats of armour around and other "castle" stuff like on tv and from books. I only saw it that one time and I remember they laughed when I asked about secret passages. I forget where the castle is located. I think when I asked my mom she said in Delta or something. Its quite obstructed by tree's keeping it fairly private. Only one other house I've been in has made me go wow... My uncle Bill's house before(William Alexander the artist from pbs art show years ago... not really my uncle but I grew up calling him that). It had floor to ceiling scenics he painted, and a mini cathedral near the front door(where he and his wife were married), a huge fish pond with koi in it(friendly koi at that then again maybe they thought I'd feed them), etc. It was one of the most beautiful houses I'd seen.

Other than the castle when I was small I've not really been any place too unusual. Though I did go to expo 86 and Drumheller.(dino bones) Oh and flinstone park when it was still open.(I've also been to disneyland but thats not a unusual place... and I've been through Wa, Idaho, Nev, Ore, Cal, NewMex, and just over the border into mexico. As well as Alberta.) Oh and I found Stave Lake to be weird as its as warm as bath water... and few years back I went to Wreck Beach.
