... stupid useres are lazy ... They once installed a Windows 2000 ... and still use the same IE5 that has never and will never see an update. BUGTRAQ is there to fix bugs, holes are shown, sources are exchanged. However, if these 'holes' would be common, to be looked up at one website .. .every script kid could use the sources and so on ... NOT SUCH A GOOD IDEA!!! as soon as something entered bugtraq it will be fixed as soon as possible ... but! that takes time ... time to rewrite -> compile -> and TEST!!! the programm and even more time to send out updates. Sorry, but we are no magician's ... we make mistakes and we need time to find and fix them. The dangerous thing is the time between discovering a hole and making the bugfix available.
