of a friend I have, she sent me a forward, I can't even remember what it is now, i think it was of the "for every forward, we'll donate X dollars to chairty" ones... so I pulled up a link to it at http://urbanlegends.about.com/ next time I was talking to her I explained in depth about that stuff, and she understood (and hasn't spammed anyone since).
However when I was talking to her, she got extreamly pissed off at her friend who had sent it to her... for sending her something fake that she would pass on. I tried to explain to her that her friend didn't know, and was just forwarding something her friend sent her, and she was just forwarding something her friend sent her, etc. However she coulnd't quite seem to grasp is, just was angry at her friend even though she did the exact same thing her friend did.
