if it can work on your pc. Just because it's a JPEG makes no difference. ANY file could have malicious code bytes stored in it. The jackarses who made up this program probably just figured that it would be much more likely for people to download massive amounts of JPEG files as opposed to others, thus increasing the chance of getting a bad one.

These people are ones who were too lame to write a full-fledged trojan, and they had to do it in stages. You'd think they would just write something that automatically seeks out updates from the web, but perhaps firewalls prevent that.
