I even was asked (forced) to join the group that put on a Tai Chi demonstration at the Chinese Festival in my college. They got ahold of some traditional costumes from the Chinese consulate in Atlanta and made us wear them. That was a bit of overkill, I'm afraid, as I'm sure even the Emperor wore less ostentatious clothes when exercising. But then I went to Japan and was ashamed to practice - too visible. Two years made me completely forget all but the opening moves, and I no longer have my Chinese teacher to help me. :-(
