to academia. They have their biases that prevent the teachers from doing anything creative or challenging. New York Mayor Bloomberg was on the "Daily Show" last night talking about taking over the schools. Get those school board idiots out of the loop and start getting some structure set up. School boards are a case of too many chiefs and not enough Indians. New Orleans has the worst school board of anyplace I've ever lived. I wish our mayor would take over the schools here. Some of the dorks on the school board have only proved that they could get the rest of their soccer-mom social circle to vote for them and they have no other qualifications for the job. They speak from ignorance and make decisions from ignorance thus keeping the student population in ignorance. Never mind taking "Tom Sawyer" out of the library; the kids can't read it anyway because they can't read at all. Where do these idiots get the idea that the only qualification to be on a school board you need is to be a concerned parent?
