Personally, if they look like they might be poisonous, and I see them, they're dead. Otherwise, I let them stay in my house and hope they starve to death because, while I don't use poisons in my house, I do keep the insects out or kill them by other means, and a starving spider is a good sign that 1) I have low or no toxins in my house and 2) I don't have enough bugs around to feed it.
