the fuse will burn out to open the circuit - other electrical circuits may not be affected.

Just about everything short of (no pun) connecting the positive battery terminal to the negative will burn out a fuse.

Definitely check the interior fuse panel (your high-current fuse panel is probably ok).

If fuses are OK, it is possible that a connector has popped loose.

Extreme heat/cold warps my dash so much that i loose half my illumination and my speedometer - cheap flexible printed circuit connectors.
