this is the mandrake demo site. It contains animated gifs as well as explainations so it will help you see how things go, look, etc.(it has demo, tutorial, spotlight, and ppc areas) But my first distrib of linux was mandrake and I still use it. I've also used redhat and nearly tried slackware. The next distrib I might try though will be SuSE maybe. But mandrake is easy to install and use. When you become a little more advanced the odd "helpful" thing is too helpful so you have to sometimes hunt them down and shut them off(my cam script was that way... but only problem that way so far). But in general I highly recommend mandrake which now in the newest version can do a minimal install of 65M I think. The older ver of mandrake I use didn't allow for that.
