"DU is weakly radioactive and a radiation dose from it would be about 60% of that from purified natural uranium with the same mass. The behaviour of uranium and DU in the body is identical radiologically and chemically." I don't want to breathe the stuff, or grow my veggies in soil innoculated with it! At any rate, I doubt depleted Uranium would be the first choice of the dirty bomber, as other somewhat radioactive materials would be easier to obtain.
