What do you want your laptop to do? strictly work or also fun and games? some laptops are now equipt with good screencards (?spellcheck?) and a DVD player is not all that useless. I`ve been looking for a laptop myself and for my needs (work and games) i wouldn`t go under 256 mb RAM and 64 mb screencard. also the harddrive I would choose have to be above 30 Gb. The nettwork ability and similar, I see as a standard feature. I would like you to check DELL laptops. just to get an idea of the market.
