Question of the Day! by kickstart2006-11-19 12:23:33
  personally speaking... by sketcher2002-06-11 00:23:37
i like scouts now by frAEk 2002-06-11 05:24:18
i've been in it since i was 11 i think.
started in cubs, which was pretty fun, especially the first year cause we had good leaders. the second year was a little stupid though cause i was in a diferent group, and the leaders weren't that great.

next came scouts. the first year i had the same leaders as my first year in cubs, but with some of the other people in my group, who never did work, and always shoved it on me and my friends cause we were first years, it wasn't that great.
second year, there was 4 second years and 2 third years, and we all got along reall well, but the 8 or so first years tried to constantly annoy us. on one camp they wouldn't leave us alone for 5 minutes.
third year was the worst. all the old leaders had left, and none of the ones that came in had a clue what to do. we (the 4 third years) had to basically babysit the first years. there was only 1 second year, and nobody liked him, he didn't like anybody else either, and made it very apparent.

this year though, i'm in ventures. the leaders are actually cool (and we dont even have to tell them about our meetings if we don't want) the trips are good (rovent is pretty much a weekend party, except for having to dig out 4 feet of snow to set up a shelter) and the group works by our own rules.
