(see my omni-code - I'm a Rugby fan) But I DO love the world cup. Once every four years we get to see some of the best and most highly paid sportsmen in the world playing games that they'd never normally play and, sometimes coming a cropper! How can anyone not be pleased to see teams like South Korea and Senegal competing on the world stage and holding their own against the likes of Argentina, France and England? Doesn't anyone else just love the idea of a sport where the USA are the underdogs? Isn't that just ludicrous? Soccer is dull as <insert suitably dull comparative object here> but the World Cup is brilliant!
