although I have only seen the movie and not read the book. I am sure that I would like the book, but still like the movie since I didn't read the book first. I had the reverse situation with Total Recall - I read the book first, and it was not the movie tie-in release, this was written several years before the movie came out and made no mention of it being "a major motion picture" blah blah blah. I didn't really like the movie. So now if I know a movie is going to come out and I know its based on a book, I wait until after the movie to read the book.
