| ...what it means is that those who subscribe will get benefits for their financial support of UF. Those who don't obviously won't. All of this is rendered moot if UF doesn't get enough subscribers to sustain itself -- as you say, no one will get anything.
I suspect the "consequence" for those who don't subscribe is continued exposure to the ads, and in future the possibility of ads that are more intrusive than the ones you currently see. Benefits such as having the strip e-mailed, monthly draws, access to pay-only content and the like will likely come about as time passes, provided UF is still around to do so.
We're still working out the details, as this is a very complex issue. In the end, I hope to have the opportunity to structure things so that subscribers get a whole lot more than non-subscribers, but the non-subscribers will still have access to (at least some of) the cartoons. |
