| what we really need is micropayments - 2 cents (or maybe 20 cents) for each post I make, billed monthly or quarterly. Any account with less than $5 owing per quarter is not sent a bill. (send bills electronically, of course) - that means a new poster needn't feel threatened that a bill will be incurred just for trying out a few fun posts.
Do you think the lagality of such an agreement would put them off? You'd have to word it carefully.
