Use png's instead of gifs. I converted todays comic into a png, instant savings, then I ran pngcrush, that gave me a few more. Here's the output, the .new.png file is the pngcrush outputted one, not that much of a savings but a little. david@linux:~ > ls -l uf* -rw-r--r-- 1 david users 20329 Jun 10 15:43 uf043400.gif -rw-r--r-- 1 david users 15413 Jun 10 15:46 uf043400.new.png -rw-r--r-- 1 david users 15688 Jun 10 15:44 uf043400.png
