| In a place such as this, on a comment board where users are repeatedly refreshing, loading up new pages, and generally running page views through the roof (unless it's just me), what's to prevent popped-up ads from building up? Or popping up and blocking the comic or the board? What of those devilish ads that load another one as soon as you close the first one? If UF is hurting so badly for money that pop-up ads are a consideration, maybe it's time to turn Yohimbe out and put him to work on street corners in Vancouver's seedy red-light district. Even as an adless member, I find pop-up ads to be a bit more intrusive than I'm comfortable with, and doubly so from a place such as this that has 'friendly' in its very name. |
