i haven't been "abusing the time clock" my boss has always let us make up the time and never cared before if we clocked in early or left early as long as we worked at least 40 hours... she doesn't demand to know where we are every minute of every day... the work is getting done...that's all she cares about... that was HER choice... so i hadn't been violating any such company policies... but HR has just CHANGED the policy and i didn't know about it... that's why she changed my punches... but what she SHOULD have done (it's too late now) is told me on thursday about the change, said that i was getting close to overtime, and asked me to leave early on friday so it wouldn't be overtime...
