Actually it's right in Russian... what's not right is the accents... those are only used in schoolbooks so you can tell which syllable to put stress on ("vahm NRAH-vit-sah BORSHCH?")

In English it's usually spelled borscht but the direct transliteration is B - O - R - SHCH (as in freSH CHeese). Borscht is beet soup, eaten hot or cold, sometimes with carrots and potatoes, and always with sour cream (smeh-TAH-nah). I really, really like borscht... and if you don't go overboard on the sour cream it's quite fine for your diet, it's essentially beets cooked in stock.

It's even harder when talking about sorrel soup - which is that letter and a backwards N, pronounced "shchee".
