Saw episode 2 yesterday... Some observations: by chuckab 2002-06-09 18:27:02
Yoda: First time not a puppet. Not bad! Fight sequence impressive.
Padmé: Not a girl any more - woo - !
Browsing the Star Wars website while composing this post and was "invaded" by a U.S. Army advertisement!
It grayed out the page I was looking at and displayed a brief (15 sec or so) animation. At least the "close" button wasn't hidden!
Anikin: Tortured teen takes Tuskans to task; taking turn toward tainted (tinted?) trail. But he still gets the girl! Go figure...
Darth Sidious: Only seen briefly, but a very good re-creation of the original. Odd, not mentioned in the cast list.
Special Effects: Impressive. If only for the sheer number of them.
Physics Comments:
Ships make too much noise in space.
Manuvering in space is too aerodynamic.
Blast holes in Obi-Wan's ship too round - should be oblong since the strike was at an angle.
Asteroid field "depth" charges very good! First you see a bright flash, then a shock wave and then you hear the blast! (FLASH Uh-oh - - - BANG!) I found myself tensing up waiting for that bang.

Overall I liked the movie
