When you get into an orbit and it tells you that you're s.o.l. and that you should click elsewhere to try again. I set up an orbit a couple of days ago which was 'long' enough to reach the ship, so I let it continue. Got up to about 80,000 distance and needed maybe 10-20 more revolutions to hit the ship, and went out of range. The bizarre thing is that at that point, the distance traversed off-screen was the smallest of the entire exercise. Sigh.
