Coleridge thinks that if your mind is well-ordered (i.e., sane & well-rounded), it MUST include a healthy sense of humor. I believe that the more literally organized a mind becomes (i.e., the more logical and rational), the less that sense of humor will be. This is why even such as I resist the change. There is something of a bell curve, however, so for some it may seem to be increasing. Rest assured, you were just really in need of some sense. ;-P
