The fun and festive days are fast approaching. Fri, June 21st, Sat, June 22nd, and Sun, June 23rd... the UFies invade San Francisco. We will keep posting details, you can look at this lovely thread in LthrOttr's diary, and we e-mailed those who have contacted your loving coordinators.
If you are interested in coming, and haven't done so yet, please drop LthrOttr (lthrottr at concentric dot net) (or Nea or LunarRainn) an e-mail and let us know. Please put UFie Meet in the subject line.
If you live in the Bay Area and might be willing to have a UFie from out of town crash with you, again, drop me an e-mail (sorry, we weren't able to manage a group rate at a hotel). Or if you are looking for a place to stay, we'll see what we can do to help you out.
What's on the schedule?
Friday, June 21st - 7ish gathering at Chevy's at Embarcadero Center. Till when? Well, that'll be determined at the time.
Saturday, June 22nd - 10 or 11ish Brunch somewhere near Union Square, then wander through China Town. Visit Coit Tower, followed by Fisherman's Wharf... and make the 4:20 PM Golden Gate Cruise on the Blue and Gold Ferry (Blue & Gold fleet).
After the cruise, heading back down to to:
Thirsty Bear Brewing Co, 661 Howard St (south of market)
Dinner to start around 7 PM...
Sunday, June 23rd - Brunch at the diner place on Powell Street (non completely finalized) at 11 AM... followed by the Metreon (http://www.metreon.com/main.html). LthrOttr'll be working with the folks at the Metreon next week to reserve a Hyperbowling lane or few. After that, well, we'll see what comes up.
There is still a little wiggle room in the plans, so if there is something you folks are dying to see in San Francisco, let us know. We'll see what we can do.
