I was/am slightly worried about you this morning... Just because I refuse to use smilies for anything other than genuine humor does not mean I'm going berserk. I speak rather strongly both online and in person, and this seems to get misread as hostility sometimes, or gives the impression that I'm overwrought. I'm not.
As I mentioned on one of my posts earlier, there are several signs of genuine aggravation in me. When I lose my "folksy" speech patterns and get formal, that's a mild sign. It means I am controlling myself, possibly with effort. When the formality starts breaking down, and especially when numerous grammar/spelling errors appear, then is the time to think about pointing out that I'm obviously upset, and may need a break.
BTW, the mild formality in this post is not aggravation, it just seems appropriate to the issue being discussed. |
