Heck, if Jason can do it, so can I. Deny something that everyone else knows to be true, that is. But I'm more convincing.
A troll is a liar. A troll posts something, and occasionally replies to other replies in the same thread, in order to cause mayhem and confusion. A troll has no personal stake in the argument, nor concern for the issues one way or the other. A real troll is a very rare and despicable thing.
I am not a troll. In every argument I've ever been in on this board that deals with a serious topic (as opposed to my obvious attempts at humor), I have stated my own personal opinions and attempted to back them up to the best of my limited ability. This is quite the contrary to trollish behavior.
In fact, very few trolls have ever posted on this forum. The fact that a large percentage of you are more than willing to label anything even slightly opposed to your personal beliefs as a "Troll" speaks very scary volumes about the geek community.
It makes me wonder if nin_man doesn't have the right of it after all. Being a geek is no great thing, if all you do is act just like any other self-important clique who fears "difference".
Fortunately, I know that most people are not really stupid - they are simply confused. I am here, my geeklings. |
