...is that I couldn't find a HOWTO that discussed how to do it with 2.4.x kernels. I looked all over. When I get home (I'm leaving now), I'll dig through freeswan and see wether it looks any nicer. As to reasons for doing it: mainly, it's because I wanted to learn how. That's my primary reason for doing most things with my computer. Also, I want to be able to play RotT network games, which are IPX based (I know, I can just run a IPX tunnel, but what fun is that?) beez
