"I couldn't even find jobs distributing advertising" which implied that even that low paying job was taken... "distributing advertising" usually translates to "posting flyers" and is not a skilled position... and in my experience in towns with high immigrant populations like the town in iowa i mentioned ALL of the minimum wage jobs are taken by immigrants... illegal ones at that... INS doesn't do squat... and i'd like to see you support yourself on a full time minimum wage job and i mean SUPPORT YOURSELF as in living alone and paying your own bills and buying your own food... try it...
