as you have stated youself elsewhere, you would not have replied to this thread had it been presented in a different manner. It was presented as a humerous poem and also an insulting one for the sole reason of provoking a response such as the one generated. It has done its job exceedingly well from what I see.

I suppose you could say that it "perpetuates stereotypes" but I would call it more along the lines of presenting only one very limited yet valid viewpoint while allowing all those who repsond to it to fill in the other sides of the issue. If this had been the subject of the comic strip, for example, I would definitely agree that it is unwarrented because the message board is not an inherent part of the strip and is essentially stand-alone. This self-proclaimed troll was meant to be read along with all the replies, whether for or against it.

And as for doing nothing to address the problem I don't really see what a message board can really do in thius instance to address the problem. We will all give our opinions on the matter and hopefully give people a side they haven't heard before and maybe make them think a little harder, but this really isn't going to change anything (unless there are a lot more high government officials lurking here than I am aware of...).

And I wrote a lot more than I had expected :-)
