First, it is only the illegals that most of us have issues with. Also, in those cases, it is really those who come here only to subsist on our charity that we have serious issues with. No gimmes! I don't even support THAT for citizens who can trace their citizenship back to the Revolution! Here's a radical argument for citizens who abuse Welfare. You take Welfare, you lose citizenship for a period of (x) years. You must take the same route any other resident alien takes to get your citizenship back. How's that for inflammatory?
