It is definately not an accurate one.
Why are Latinos that come to the US legally grouped with those who arrive illegally? There is a big difference between them.
Another fact that you may not be aware of is that Latinos have one of the lowest ratios of population per centage too welfare population per centage.
Additionaly illegal immagration has been a constant in the United States for over 200 years. Why does a coutry of immagrants complain about newly arriving immagrants? Can somebody explain the difference between the Latinos of today and the Irish, Italian or Chinese immagrants of 100 years ago?
The largest employer in my area is the Manufactured Housing Industry. Many of these companies employ people a minimum or minimum wage. They also pay people to bring in illegal immagrant to work for them. This increases their corporate profits due to the reduced labor costs. INS raids are so common around here that they don't even get reported anymore. The companies are able to replace the lost workers within 48 hours in most cases. The American tax payer is paying for the raids, for the lawyers on both sides of the deportation hearings and to deport the illegal immagrants. The companies who import the illegal workers pay no fines and only increase there profits by using illegal workers. Until you make it unprofitable to employ illegal workers, they will continue to do it. Of course as soon as you do make it unpopular, they move overseas to where they can find cheaper labor. |
