Social? The hispanic families I know do a lot more socializing than I ever do. They just do it in Spanish. I do think the schools should teach English, most of those kids end up Bilingual and are really valuable in the employment field. But no matter how much you teach english in school, (ore require it of an adults) the language spoken at home will probably still be Spanish. And they will not reliquish their culture to learn ours, even if we do force our language on them. Adults who are trained in skilled professions either have perfectly comfortable jobs in Mexico, or they will learn English before they come over. I was speaking to your average unskilled laborer who comes to the US from Mexico in order to find any job at all. they are not going to become doctors, but their kids might if we require English in schools.
