I began to look for other signs of the Apocalypse. I connected and initialized a single computer to DirecTV in less than 20 minutes, then cloned the MAC address to a D-link hub/router so I could use another computer on the DSL line. That took under 10 minutes. No extra reboots, no frantic calls to tech support, no frustration over vague instructions--it was so easy I have no war stories to tell my buddies!
