I'm trying to convert some avis to mpegs for vcds, and I've run across a slew of videos where I can't decompress the audio, because it's in an unrecognized format. VirtualDub reports "Unknown tag 0055". Windows Media Player can play them fine though, so I know there is audio. My guess is that it's some new micro$oft codec that they don't let other programs use or something, but does anyone have any suggestions?
PS. I've tried for hours, and google produced no results for me. Ask Jeeves was useless, and when I searched on Micro$oft.com, I go some results about audio, but nothing specific... Curious... |
