ok, seems this conversation died, so let's get it going again here folks.

What do you belive is the primary reason or reasons for the decline in quality of 'net trolling and flame wars? What has happened since the hay day of Usenet to the AOL'd whitewashed corporate sanctioned internet we have today that has caused the creativity to wane? Explain your theory and be prepared to defend it from flaming trolls (they may be airborne).

So, make with the sharing of ideas.
