| Yes, read that subject line again. Bask in it. I just got home from work. We just buried an NT server, after an uptime of over two years. What, then, makes it so stable, you ask? Why, the network card died, that's all. This made the computer complete unusable, because the only local account was the Administrator account, one whose password was long ago forgotten by employees now gone. Alas, the domain login was impossible with no network card and, since we had planned to update the software that runs on that server, as well as the server, in the next few weeks, it seemed silly to spend more than four hours trying to resurrect it. :D But c'mon. Two years uptime. Tell me NT isn't stable. |
