What's really amusing/sad/frustrating is that Win 98 still boots on that machine. Grrrr... Yeah, having a spare machine is a good thing. Having housemates with a pile of network, hardware, OS certs between them is also good. If none of my fiddling fixes it, I can get them to step in and give it a good talking to.
