... it's a process that has terminated without notifying the OS. This can be checked by shutting down the OS from the so-called 'safe mode'. If you're lucky and it manages to shut down, start eliminating things that auto-start until you find the culprit. If you're unlucky, just rename LOGOW.SYS to LOGOW.SAV and copy LOGOS.SYS to LOGOW.SYS... (Files are contained in the WINDOWS directory) Your boss will be AMAZED at how fast his computer shuts down ;-)
