The auctioneer says he has a contract for what's called an absolute auction, which means everything in the building is sold. No. An "absolute auction" is an auction in which none of the lots have a minimum price. An item can be sold for 1 cent if that's all that's bid. I suspect that the auctioneer didn't really define an "absolute auction" that way to the reporter. -Miko
