I've been dating my gf for four and a half years. We are engaged to be married, but don't want to go into parenthood right now, the idea being at least end our studies first.

What if I suddenly get her pregnant? Would we then be compelled to keep the baby even though we both know that we won't be in a financially sound situation?

(This scenario is a bit hypthetical. My gf is on the pill, and we have actually talked about this and more or less decided that if it happens, then we'll march through it. If it had happened two years ago however, when neither of us had any work experience and before I even STARTED my four year studies, then the matter might have been another story.)
