that its the whole "comfort factor" thing, as several other people have referenced already. After so much time, the need to impress has faded out, and you dont have to come off as larger than life (gods forbid one of us gets sick and one of you has to take care of us... do you know what that DOES to our egos? :) )
I personally solved the problem a long time ago, when I decided to just be my geeky, cynical self and MOTAS be darned (man I feel wimpy sayin that, but then again, I dont know whats moddable).
Somehow I got lucky and met me a geek-lover. That was 3 years ago, and we're gettin married sometime next year. Was a lot easier without the games and pretensiousness<sp>?
