| like this queen, yes, who's not much more but someone who makes people wistfully think of the so-called "Good Old Days", which isn't all that bad really, and who keeps the tabloids from reporting what's really going on (can't have that). I do not much care for monarchy in general, but I like this symbolic person.
Besides, the Jubilee is like a big birthday party. You don't tell people to go violate the FYOSR on their birthday, no matter who they are. Well, I wouldn't, at least. Fifty years is quite an achievement, I think. And there was good music, too. |
